Turquoise will bring a fresh new start to 2010. Pantone says: “Turquoise inspires thoughts of soothing, tropical waters and a comforting escape from the everyday troubles of the world, while at the same time restoring our sense of wellbeing.”

Personally I like wearing turquoise, it’s easy to combine with different colours such as deep magenta, sun yellow, grey or different shades of blue. This colour easily could be cold and warm at the same time, really depend on the colours I pair with it. Refreshing, young vibrant colour what gives you loads energy for the day.

I got some good news from an upcoming magazine project. Cross fingers. We will see how new year treats me.

ps. I got new modules for next semester, seems like I will have a Magazine Production, a Feature writing and some English classes for next year.

This is a movie what I was watching recently. Actually this is how I got inspiration for writing and blogging. I had a blog previously, but it only got a few post every second month. I felt like, I have to write and do things regularly.

I really liked the story, Julie’s character, the path how she went through the 365 days and the 524 recipes was funny, inspirational and there was drama as well. Meryl Streep gave an overplayed character to Julia, and Amy Adam’s play was very lovable.

I had no high expectation with this movie, and I wasn’t dissapointed at the end. There was some parts, when I felt that the movie is boring,  but I positive end turned it into a suprising, inspirational and Sunday afternoon movie.

Running with the time – as follow me on the journey

Now let’s just travel back in the time. Are you ready? Because I’m waiting for that moment for a while, it is 6.16am in the morning. It’s been one of those busy days when you don’t have time to sit and think properly, everything is just coming suddenly. It’s been a long day and it will be a long one.

Still everything sleeping, just dark and quiet around me only one small lamp brings a little light in the room. I’ve got 6 hours left until the travel, just follow me, it will be great, probably an exciting last minute one. This is that six hours when I have to make it happen. I have to, I will not give any chance… This is the time what should be enough to finish all of my business. Then it’s done…

Let’s just think about it, I’ve got so many things in my head because of the travel. You always feel a bit stressed or nervous and excited. New place is like that. As usually, everything just turned into a small chaos around me. I feel better to put everything on the floor just to see what I have got, I have had a list what I still have to do. Not to miss anything. I’m just trying to be such an organized person. Because that’s the most annoying thing if you left something home and realize that, ‘Oo, God, I forgot to…’ and usually these are the most obvious and smallest things. Wouldn’t be the first time…

I’m arrived to Denmark. That was the very first time to travel by plane. I was so amazed by the bright sky, the power of the sun. The soft clouds just looked like wool; it was just asking me to jump there. Instead of this, I landed back to reality, into a whole new culture. Which is Scandinavia. And that became to my new home. Actually it was THE Tekniske Kollegium. My simple, old styled dorm. I found a new family there, a whole mixture of nationalities, people from Venezuela, Canada, Philippines…people from all around the world. The kitchen became our main social area, many international dinners and just random nights… I missed my favourite black jeans, what I forgot to pack…

7.02am waiting for the sun. My mind is jumping around. I still have some work left, which I’m not happy for, I have to do the rest as quick as I can. I don’t want to miss my travel just because some overwhelming jobs. Then I will have a big rest, and enjoy all of my freedom. The well deserved one month.

Greece was one of my nicest travel experience. It was really different than all of my Scandinavian or western travels. Greece got that power in their land, I don’t know what exactly is that, might be the ocean, or some old heroes still around there. Who knows, but definitely Greece is worth to explore.
It was in 2006, I remember it very clearly. The bus is just arrived to Tesco’s parking area, 1pm. We jumped into the bus in Szeged, which is the southern part of Hungary, then we headed to Belgrade, Moldova, and reached the Greece border in the early morning. Toroni was our place. A small village. It is one of those one which still not discovered by most of the tourists. It was an amazing sunshine when we arrived there, morning time, with that pleasant cold wind. 1 week of paradise. I was listening Nelly Furtado’s album that time, it always brings me back to Toroni.

7.20, still dark, I have to leave soon, a heating just switched on so I can listen of its noise, great.

8.46, Already at work, the traffic was absolutely terrible. It took so long to get here. I will give myself 2 hours do get done all the work what left for today. Then I still have one hour until the leaving. My plan is just to relax on the bus, sit and watch the beautiful land. The morning lights were beautiful, orange and red mixed with the blue, and finally it is not raining any more. The last few weeks were horrible. Strong, strong rain and wind, it just blew me off to my flat. It is definitely Scotland, even worst than the Danish winds. It made me feel more that I have to go to a place where the weather is warm, I can hear the music of the birds, and just sit and enjoy the sunshine. Maybe Philippines? Cabu seems such an interesting place, I already fell in love with it. Asia is something really exotic place for me.

Did you found out what is this all about? Running with the time. Only 300 left. This is the space I have to keep it on. This is all about small memories from my travels, but actually the meaning of it completely different. I have a feeling like getting ready for a trip. This trip is only going to be my way back home at 12pm. The time, when I finally hand in my university projects, what again, last last minute. It is so typical. This is my running with the time and with the words. Just to update, I still have to finish 2 other subject. Luckily I got group-mates, they are helping me. I took too much responsibilities, too much work, but I got to be done, I have to be done.

10.30 I already wanted to be done by this time, one and a half an hour. Slowly be there, and going to go out and enjoy the sunny Edinburgh. Sun just came for me to calm me down. And I can’t wait until the next travel. Hungary, Greece, England… or who knows where? Feelings will be similar, probably lot more calm than today.

The first day at the shop floor I got that my manner is harsh. Oh, well since I haven’t got royalty classes probably I’m just one of those working class children, who never wants to fit into those classes. I’m rather being myself a free bird, than a person who only led by stupid rules. Not to forget that I have a very serious test on Sunday, a test about using till, and providing an excellent customer service.

ps.: I’ve got Christmas postcard from my collegues. Shoud I be happy then? Well they put the effort to buy something, and write my name on the envelope. I wanted to bring Christmas suprise, so I took some special sweets. Guess what, Kendra is not eating cocolate. What a suprise?

But, let’s just start with Christmas! What is the most exciting things about it? Of course the gifts, when you all day waiting for the night to open it. Yes, I just had a little Christmas today! I know a week early! But this is my 2nd and my last Christmas here in Edinburgh. A package from my parents just arrived today, I was at home the whole day, just to wait for the delivery guy. Afternoon was my time, the door bell rang loudly, and I just ran into the door to open it. I knew it is Christmas time! My parents wrapped the package so well. It took some time to get trough and finally I opened the box. This is the box for me and my brother because it is the first time that he spends Christmas here, what is good for me, because I’m not going to be without family… We got so many nice food, home-made christmas sweets, some ingredients for the christmas soup what we will cook at the 24th. I can not wait to start preparing. I was thinking to do some christmas decoration, some snow flakes…

I also already planning to start writing my new year’s resolution. I haven’t done before, but it’s time for some change.
